Doctor’s Orders: Stop All of Your Supplements!

5 supplements everyone should take

When I go over supplements with my patients, I often take them off more than I start them on. Why? Because so many guys are taking CRAPPY supplements – either stuff they don’t need or stuff they do need, but are too low-quality to get any benefit from. So many otherwise sophisticated patients too easily take advice from Men’s Health magazine or a trainer with limited knowledge (many trainers are AWESOME at nutrition and supplements, but not all) or a buddy at the gym. They end up taking things that are a complete waste of money or potentially harmful. Please, ask your doctor (hopefully that’s me!) about ALL of the supplements you’re taking – be sure to know which brands, in what quantity, and how often – because they should ask you for that (I know I would).

Why do the brands matter? Many of you may have heard about the findings of adulterated and fake supplements being sold at GNC, Walgreen’s, Target, Walmart and on Amazon – all detailed in a report of findings from the New York State attorney general’s office. Supplements are not regulated effectively in the U.S., so even if you are making good decisions about the type of vitamin, herb or botanical to buy, unless you are savvy about which brands are high-quality, you could be getting ripped off by fake ingredients or even endangering your health from chemicals, heavy metals, or hidden pharmaceuticals in the supplement.

I definitely think supplements can be important for optimal health. I’ve written other blog posts about specific supplements for certain issues such as mental performance, sex drive, and which ones to avoid.

To make it easy in terms of figuring out WHAT supplements to take and WHICH BRANDS are best, I created a bundle that works for almost every guy. This bundle covers all of your needs. You can buy a 2-month supply with just a few clicks from my online store within the website of a company called Fullscript.

The first time you go to the store on Fullscript it will ask you to set up your account by entering your email and first and last name.

After entering your information and establishing your account, click on the shopping cart which will automatically be pre-populated with the Men’s Essential Bundle that I have curated.

All ingredients populating the shopping cart are enough for 2 months except the Klean Multivitamin, so in order to have a 2-month supply of everything, change the quantity for the Klean multi to two bottles before clicking the button that says “Proceed to checkout” (you take 2 tablets per day of the multi, so one bottle of 60 tablets would only last 1 month).

In the bundle, you will get:

Dr. Shade’s NanoMojo – this is a liquid. You squirt 2 pumps into your mouth on an empty stomach when you first start your day. This stuff is amazing for men’s health, sexual function and energy.

Klean Multivitamin – take 2 per day with your first meal of the day to ensure you get all the right micronutrients for immune health, overall energy, and optimizing your body’s cognitive function.

Zinc Picolonate – take 1 a day with the multi for better prostate and immune health.

ProOmega CoQ10 1000mg – take 2 a day with the multi and the zinc and your first meal of the day.

Magnesium Glycinate Plus – take 2 at bedtime for overall relaxation and reducing muscle tightness.

This combination is made up of top-tier quality products and incorporates all of my most common recommendations.

The great thing is, on this site, I have curated the best of the best for you – so you don’t have to worry about buying unsafe products or wasting your money on something that doesn’t do anything.

I’d love to hear how you feel on these supplements, so please reach out with comments or questions by emailing me to Myles@DrSpar.com.
